Hello Folks...that's about it for 2009. We had plenty of fun gettin' around WI a this year with everything from motor bike rallies to art museums and all points between. We'll be posting new dates as they get booked so check back often and hopefully we get a chance to play in your area soon.
The NHB band member are becoming quite the diversified bunch with side projects a plenty.

Jon Peik is also bound to show up at anytime in any band, any where.
NHB bassist Mark Hembree (yet another living legend) can be found thumping away with an assortment of bluegrass or swing bands.
Paul Kienitz might be found fiddling a square at the next 'Barn Dance' you attend (he's been bitten by the 'Old-Time' bug).
Seth Forester can be found pluckin' a 'tele' on any given Saturday nite down at the honky tonk.

 

We often get asked what our name is all about. I’d like to end all rumor, subterfuge, chitchat and scuttlebutt. As most natives and visitors to the Madison area certainly know, our fair city lacks any decent geographical relief that a traditional bluegrass band might name themselves after. We don’t have any Sunny Mountains, Foggy Mountains or Clinch Mountains for us to hang our shingle on. We do though have good old Nob Hill just off of the highway on Madison’s south side. The location stuck in my mind over the years because a kid, I remember my folks making mention about a UFO sighting over Nob Hill in the ‘50s. The hill was home to a popular restaurant and sledding hill in the past and is now certain to go down in history as the home of the Boys’
