Hello Folks...well that pretty much wraps up
the 2007 season...we had alot of fun getting out playing new events
and meeting new people. One of the highlights was playing the On
the Waterfront Festival in Rockford, Il with the legendary
Bob Black
(need I say more). We'll be posting the 2008 dates as they get booked
so check back often and hopefully we get a chance to play in your
area.
The NHB band member are also becoming quite the diversified
bunch with side projects a plenty.
Visit John
Fabkes' web site to see all the pots on his fire (a
busy guy indeed).
Jon
Peik is also bound to show up at anytime in any
band, any
where . Jon must have a dream (look at the fame Bela' has gained).
Check out the Door
County Bluegrass Camp 2008 this summer. NHB bassist
Mark Hembree (yet another living legend) is on
staff for the sessions. Mark has conducted several seminars and
workshops, including “Bluegrass Week” at the Augusta
Heritage Center in Elkins, WV.
Paul Kienitz might be found fiddling
a square at the next 'Barn
Dance' you attend (he's been bitten by the 'Old-Time' bug).
Seth
Forester can be found pluckin' a 'tele' on any given
Saturday nite down at the honky tonk.

We often get asked what our name is all about.
I’d like to end all rumor, subterfuge, chitchat and scuttlebutt.
As most natives and visitors to the Madison area certainly know,
our fair city lacks any decent geographical relief that a traditional
bluegrass band might name themselves after. We don’t have
any Sunny Mountains, Foggy Mountains or Clinch Mountains for us
to hang our shingle on. We do though have good old Nob Hill just
off of the highway on Madison’s south side. The location stuck
in my mind over the years because a kid, I remember my folks making
mention about a UFO sighting over Nob Hill in the ‘50s. The
hill was home to a popular restaurant and sledding hill in the past
and is now certain to go down in history as the home of the Boys’
